On the water since the age of 9, I have always been passionate about sailing. My first major crossing was the 2003 Mini Transat. Armed with this experience, and with even greater motivation, I took up the helm of a Mini again four years later. However, the adventure came to an abrupt end in Madeira, my renal system was no longer working. Urgently repatriated, I was put on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. This is how my solo story turned into an incredible duo adventure: Laurence, a childhood friend, gave me this magnificent gift: in April 2008 she gave me a kidney and saved my life.

Talking about organ donation and continuing to navigate have since become my leitmotifs. My way of saying thank you to life, to those who gave me this chance and to show all transplant recipients or future transplant recipients that it is always possible to do great things.

After crossing the Atlantic in 2014 on the sidelines of the Route du Rhum and having received an exceptional welcome in Pointe-à-Pitre, after having participated and finished the Route du Rhum 2018 in Class40, I now aim to participate “in RHUM Multi” on a legendary boat to the queen of transatlantic races, continuing to promote the message that is dear to me: “After… it’s too late”.

To carry out this project, I am looking for partners aware of this issue and ready to commit to a long-term program activated this year.
